From Commander Louie Leggett

Welcome all incoming and returning officers.  I look forward to being your commander and value your support of the club.  We have several upcoming events, so please come out and support the flag dedication on Thursday June 30th and all other activities.  A special thanks to Paul Garner for his services as Past Commander.  The Post looks forward to another successful year ahead of us.  Remember why we are here and what we do, The American Legion is a nonpartisan, not-for-profit organization with great political influence perpetuated by its grass-roots involvements in the legislation process. Legionnaires’ sense of obligation to their community, state and nation drives an honest advocacy for veterans in Washington. The Legion stands not behind politics, but the issues and people that institute progress by focusing on veterans rights and quality of life.

The American Legion’s success depends entirely on active membership, participation and volunteerism. The organization belongs to the people it serves and the communities in which it thrives.  We stand behind and live the Four Pillars while supporting our veterans.

We are the American Legion Post 490.
